Anna Solomon

Anna Solomon is the author of a novel, The Little Bride, a Boston Globe bestseller, and co-editor, with Eleanor Henderson, of Labor Day: True Birth Stories by Today's Best Women Writers. Her newest novel Her short stories and essays have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, One Story, Ploughshares, The Georgia Review, and elsewhere, and have twice been awarded the Pushcart Prize. Her short story, “The Lobster Mafia Story,” was Boston’s 2013 One City One Story selection. Anna took her first-ever fiction workshop at Grub Street (with her co-presenter Jenna Blum!) and has since received an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop along with fellowships from MacDowell, Yaddo, and Bread Loaf. She lives in Providence, RI, where she teaches writing at Brown University. Her second novel, The Mother Rock, will be released from Riverhead in 2016.
